    How long are the sessions?

    Individual session length is dependent upon the individual and their needs. Typically individual sessions are between 45-55 minutes in length. Group Therapy typically lasts 50-minutes. Sibshops are 90 minutes unless otherwise stated. 

    How does it work? 

    Because each person has different issues and goals for counseling, it will be different depending on the individual. Our therapists tailor their therapeutic approach to your specific needs.

    What do I have to do in sessions?

    During the intake session, the therapist will go over the intake forms you completed prior to the session. If there are areas of clarification, they will ask you for more information. It is our goal that sessions feel conversational and that you provide as much or as

    How long will it take?

    Unfortunately, this is not possible to say in a general FAQs page. Everyone’s circumstances are unique to them and the length of time counseling can take to allow you to accomplish your goals depends on your desire for personal development, your commitment, and the factors that are driving you to seek counseling in the first place.

    What if I need to cancel?

    Your therapy time will be held specifically for you. Due to this, the cancellation policy requires a minimum of 24 hours notice to avoid any fees. Canceling within the 24-hour window will result in being charged the full session fee of $100. The cancelation policy is strictly enforced.

     

    What should I wear?

    Please wear whatever makes you most comfortable and will help you focus in your therapy session. Many of therapists actually do not wear shoes as that is what makes them comfortable. If you would like to take your shoes off for the session you are more than welcome! Since we work with a wide variety of individuals, there is a high likelihood that unexpected sounds from other may occur. If you suspect you need headphones please bring them. If you forget we have extras in the office please just make staff aware of your needs. 

    What if I get overwhelmed and don’t want to talk anymore?

    Our therapists are all trained in working with neurodivergent individuals and understand that there are various ways you may show you no longer want to engage with us. You may verbally inform us, let us know your way of showing disengagement in your intake form or simply stop speaking and we will understand. 

    What if having manipulatives or stimming helps me?

    Please bring whatever feel comfortable and focus.
