Meet Emily Ballard, OTD, ORT/L, Occupational Therapy Supervisor
Emily Ballard is a licensed Doctor of Occupational Therapy with a passion for helping neurodivergent individuals achieve independence in daily life skills. Emily empowers both children and adults to navigate and master various challenges that may impact their growth towards independence, focusing on pediatric developmental milestones, self-care, emotional regulation, as well as adult skills in home maintenance, living independently, and managing finances and medication.

Emily is known for her fun-loving yet direct approach. Understanding that one solution does not fit everyone, she is dedicated to customizing strategies that cater uniquely to the needs of her clients and their support systems. By building strong rapport and prioritizing their goals, Emily inspires her clients to be the agents of change in their lives, consistently focusing on enhancing their capabilities and supporting their ongoing development.

Emily’s approach is fundamentally rooted in her commitment to the neurodivergent community, emphasizing support that adapts to each individual’s unique needs. Educational Background and Expertise
Emily earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Carthage College and her Doctoral Degree in Occupational Therapy from Concordia University Wisconsin. Her dedication to the field is augmented by her pursuit of additional certifications, including specialized training in DIR/Floortime Therapy.
Work with Emily
Emily is no longer accepting new clients as she has transitioned to a supervisory role within Uniquely You Behavioral Health. In her new capacity, she is deeply involved in developing treatment plans for all occupational therapy clients at our practice. While Emily is not adding to her individual caseload, her expertise and guidance continue to influence and enhance the therapeutic journey of our clients.
